Causes And Symptoms Of Adrenal Fatigue: Help Prevent It Taking Control Of Your Life

Many people today are suffering from adrenal fatigue. To start with, adrenal fatigue is just another vice of modern day life that is full of stress and strain. We fail to realize that during the process of improving our lives by working too hard for that promotion or that big fat raise, we are also making our lives too complicated for our body to handle

Basically, adrenal fatigue is just another addition to stress related disorders.

You need to know that the adrenal gland, which is located just above the kidney, plays a key role in keeping our body in optimum condition. It produces hormones, such as cortisol, adrenalin, testosterone, and estrogen. The hormones regulate our physiological and psychological process. It controls our blood pressure, it regulates our body fluid balance, and it also controls our blood sugar levels as well as other metabolic functions.

Because adrenal fatigue is becoming more prevalent among a lot of people in today’s society, it is important for us to know about the symptoms associated with this disorder. By knowing about the symptoms, it will be easier for us to know if we are suffering from it and it will also help us know how to treat it.

So, just what are the symptoms of adrenal fatigue?

The most common symptom of adrenal fatigue is extreme exhaustion. This is the main symptom that will indicate that we are suffering from adrenal fatigue. Although it is natural for us to feel tired or exhausted after a hard day at work, you have to consider the fact that if you are suffering from adrenal fatigue, you will feel tired even when you wake up in the morning that you will feel as if you didn’t even sleep at all. You will feel unusually exhausted for no particular reason at all and you will also notice that your stamina will gradually deteriorate to the point that walking just a block will make you feel extremely exhausted.

Other symptoms associated with adrenal fatigue are the craving for sugary foods and caffeinated drinks, such as coffee, tea, and sodas. You will also find it very hard to recover from illnesses and your immune system will not function properly that you are susceptible to respiratory illnesses, such as flu and bronchitis.

The main cause of adrenal fatigue is that the adrenal gland is weakened because of continued stress combined with poor nutrition. Extreme and negative emotions, such as fear, worry, anxiety, depression, anger, and even guilt can also contribute to adrenal fatigue. Excessive physical and mental strain as well as deprived sleep, overworking, and over exercising can also lead to adrenal fatigue. Viral infections can also cause adrenal fatigue.

So, the key to treating adrenal fatigue is by changing your lifestyle. You need to give your body the proper nutrition it needs and you also have to provide it with adequate rest. Avoid stressful situations and also try to get the proper amount of exercise.

So, if you are suffering from adrenal fatigue, it would be wise to try and change your lifestyle for the better. It may take some time for you to adjust but in time, you will be able to have a healthier body and also prevent adrenal fatigue or at least treat it effectively.
